Australia’s favourite Italian home cook Silvia Colloca is coming to Sydney!

Everything that’s good about eating and drinking in Italy comes together under one roof in August with the return of the Italian Wine + Food Festival. We’re thrilled to announce that Silvia Colloca (Cookbook, Author, TV Host) will make her festival debut in Sydney on Sunday 26thAugust at Australian Technology Park in Eveleigh. Silvia will be on our Main Stage cooking on festival day, sharing her love for Cucina Italiano and her secrets for cooking a great meal at home.
Sydney’s top Italian chefs are turning out in force to make it a day to remember, with much-loved locals Stefano Manfredi, Luca Ciano, Nino Zoccali (The Restaurant Pendolino + La Rosa the Strand), Matteo Zamboni (Jonah’s), Claudio Barzano (Marta Osteria) and Aldo Ortado (Masterchef Australia 2018) leading the charge. Feast on pizza, pasta and Italian snacks from our pop-up restaurantsfrom Sydney favourites Jonah’s Restaurant, Lucio Pizzeria, Rocker, Caruso’s and Via Napoli, plus there’ll be live pasta and cheese making in the Marketplace and cooking demonstrations with chefs and providores on the Main Stage.
Shop like an Italian in the festivalmarketplace, brimming with salumi, cheese, pasta, bread, olive oil, and pastries including Vannella Cheese, Brickfields, Prosciutto di Parma, Consorzio di Parmigiano Reggiano, Abruzzo Lab, Dolcettini Patisserie, Byron Bay Mozzarella, Il Panzerotto – Taste of Puglia, Little Piggy Went to Market, The Gnocchi Way, Kyneton Olive Oil, La Favola, Monini, Goose on the Loose, Chef Luca Ciano, Molecola, Truffle Traders, Pukara Estate, Atelier. Cow and the Moon Artisan Gelato and a Mutti Bruschetta Station all day!
Plus there’ll be an Italian Cheese Tasting Zone by Formaggi Occelo, mozzarella stretching with Vannella, pizza dough making with Via Napoli, gnocchi making with The Star’s Gabrielle Taddeucci and a Parmigiano Reggiano Masterclass with Luca Ciano.
Explore Italian and Aussie-Italian wines region by delicious region, discover your favourite new Prosecco, Barolo or Chianti. Meet winemakers and importers, learn all about the grape varieties, regions, and best of all, how good they taste. Delve deeper with an Italian Wine Masterclass curated by our team or relax and soak up the atmosphere with a glass from our wine bars in the trattoria style wine gardens. For something stronger there’s coffee by Espresso di Manfredi, Birra Moretti on tap, and authentic Italian cocktails from Max Greco’s pop-up Negroni Bar by Surry Hills favourite Vasco, serving up Negroni and Spritz all day!
Kids enter free, so you can bring the whole family. There’s also Pizza Acrobatics by world champion Marco de Marco, live music and a kid’s zone to keep the bambino amused while you enjoy the sweet life.
Just as the appeal of Italian food runs from street-style pizza-fun for the whole family to fresh-pasta finery for the connoisseur, the festival has food and drink, entertainment and information to suit everyone from spaghetti-loving kids to the most engaged Italian-speaking wine lover.
